Voart Studio is…

Voart Studio is a working Artist studio in the heart of Wollongong CBD, where you can have a fun arty experience in drawing, painting or pottery in amongst Artist Violetta Strabic’s creative space.

You can make a booking for your special occasion choosing from painting or pottery party experience. Alternately, you can come to a weekly tailored class.

Where is the Voart Studio?

Has recently moved to 31 Bligh Street Wollongong NSW (near the Wollongong Hospital)

There is a drop off zone infant of the Studio parking in the streets is free, and usually not busy after 5:30pm.

 

What are the terms & conditions for classes?

If you purchased a causal class, they run on the day that you nominated. This is also on the receipt you receive at the checkout. It is valid only for a week from purchase date.

Term classes run once a week for the term.
Classes run during school terms only. 
Workshops are run during some public holidays.
Bookings at least 24 hours in advance.

Classes must be pre-purchased to attend.
Term classes will commence automatically on your nominated day, weekly when purchased.

Classes are non refundable.

If you purchased the term classes at Voart studio, there is a maximum of 1 makeup class per term, per person.

All classes are suitable for over 7 years old to mature age.
Workshops are 9 years and up.

Refreshments supplied by parent/guardian for 6 -16 years olds.

All beginner to advanced skill levels welcome.

1 make up class is offered if a genuine emergency arises.
If its covid related if a copy of your positive RAT test isolation order is requested.

The 1 off reschedule make up class will be booked to occur in the next available class time in that week.

If you bring food please be aware of yourself and/or other people that may have allergies or medical conditions which may affect you/them during class. 

Also be aware of this when purchasing classes that specify ‘BYO food’, this is an allergy free food area.

All bookings are non refundable but incase of Covid 19 restrictions, please present your notification to quarantine, or a copy of your positive RAT test isolation order if you want your classes stored as credit for future sessions.

 

What are the terms & conditions for parties?

More than four weeks notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling without a fee incurred.
Under two weeks notice 50% of the full cost of the booking will be refunded.

Non refundable if two weeks prior to booking date.

Incase of Covid 19 restrictions, please present your Government notification to quarantine if you want your booking rescheduled without loosing 50% of your booking cost.

 

Why did I get diverted here from the checkout?

Most likely cause is that the item is sold out or booked out.

Contact Violetta to check availability of the item.

 

What equipment do I bring to classes?

If it says ‘BYO’ students must bring:

If you are Drawing:

- an acid free A3 sketch book

- eraser

- lead pencil HB, 2B, 6B

- box of loose thin willow charcoal sticks 

- a 30cm ruler

- artist’s kneadable putty eraser

- fixative spray or hairspray

- fixative spray or aerosol hairspray

- blender sticks or ‘paper stumps’

- optional extras: Soft pastels (not oil pastels), or colour pencils, colour pens.

If you are Painting:

-palette

-palette knife

-brushes in three sizes flat and round types

-cool and warm primary colours and black and white paints

-rag

-canvas board 30cm by 40cm or 40cm x 50cm

-charcoal sticks

-2B pencil

-artist’s kneadable eraser

-old oversized shirt, apron or smock, if you’re a mess painter!

If you are doing Pottery:

- Earthenware clay (fires up to up to 1200 degrees)

- brush on glazes in your choice, they come in matt or gloss

- underglazes in your favourite colours (buy a clear glaze too)

What happens when I buy your artwork online?

SHIPPING POLICY:


Artworks have free standard domestic shipping with Auspost.

All artworks are carefully wrapped for shipping nationally within one week of completed purchase. If you selected a layby plan subscription, the artwork will be shipped 1 week upon completion of your final payment.

For International buyers I will email you a quote for shipping costs.
If you choose to add extra insurance, please contact me within 3 days of purchase. Extra insurance is 10% of the artwork value which will need to be paid for prior to dispatch.

If damaged during transportation if you buy postal insurance it will cover the cost.

No refunds on damaged goods returned and if not in it’s original packaging.


CUSTOM WORK:


Minimum order $750. Sizes vary 90x70cm up to 3mx2m size for paintings. Smaller 1mx1m sizes paintings and ceramics take around 2-3 months to complete.

2 progress reports are supplied to orders over $950.
Sorry no returns or refunds for custom work.
If damaged during transport the postal insurance covers the cost.
